He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and in awe [of God] 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 olives, dates, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 and his mother and his father; 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing, joyous; 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
