The chiefs of Firon's people said: most surely this is an enchanter possessed of knowledge: 109 Who would expel you from your land. Now what do ye advise? 110 Others said: 'Put them off a while, he and his brother, and send forth to your cities gatherers 111 That they may bring to thee every magician knowing. 112 And the magicians came to Firaun, and said, “Will we get some reward if we are victorious?” 113 He said, 'Yes, indeed; and you shall be among the near-stationed.' 114 They said: O Musa! either thou cast down, or we shall be the ones to cast down. 115 Moses said: 'You throw.' So when they threw [their rods], they enchanted the eyes of the people, and struck them with awe, and produced a mighty sorcery. 116 We inspired Moses to throw his staff, and suddenly it began to swallow-up all that the magicians had (falsely) invented. 117 ۞ So the truth was proved and their works were disproved. 118 Pharaoh and his men were defeated and utterly humiliated. 119 The sorcerers fell to the ground in homage, 120 And said: "We have come to believe in the Lord of all the worlds, 121 The Lord of Moses and Aaron." 122 Said Pharaoh: "Have you come to believe in him ere I have given you permission? Behold, this is indeed a plot which you have cunningly devised in this [my] city in order to drive out its people hence! But in time you shall come to know, [my revenge]: 123 I shall assuredly cut off alternately your hands and feet, then I shall crucify you all together.' 124 They answered: "We have (in any case) to go back to our Lord. 125 "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)! 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
