Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works - unto them shall be a hire unceasing. 8
