Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 And We found no covenant in most of them; and most of them We found ungodly. 102 Then after them We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Signs to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them. So see how was the end of the Mufsidun (mischief-makers, corrupts, etc.). 103 Moses told the Pharaoh, "I am a Messengers from the Lord of the Universe. 104 One for whom it is right to say nothing but truth about Allah. Now have I come unto you (people), from your Lord, with a clear (Sign): So let the Children of Israel depart along with me." 105 He said: "If you have brought a sign then display it, if what you say is true." 106 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it turned into a real serpent. 107 Then he uncovered his hand and it appeared sheer white to the onlookers. 108
