Al-Furqaan 2 of 6
Blessed be He who, if He will, shall assign to them better than that -- gardens underneath which rivers flow, and he shall assign to thee palaces. 10 Nay they deny the hour (of the judgment to come): but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the hour: 11 When (Hell) appears to them from a distance they will hear it raging and roaring. 12 And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. 13 It will be said “Do not pray this day for one death – and pray for many deaths.” 14 Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment). 15 For them there will be therein all that they desire, and they will abide (there forever). It is a promise binding upon your Lord that must be fulfilled. 16 On the Day when He gathers them with all that they worship, other than Allah, He will say: 'Was it you who misled My worshipers, or did they themselves go astray' 17 They will answer: "Glory to You. It was not worthy of us to seek any protector other than You. But You allowed them and their fathers a life of ease until they turned oblivious of the Reminder. They were a people impenitent. 18 God will say (to the idolaters), "Your idols have rejected your faith. You cannot avoid their rejection nor can you find any help. Anyone of you who commits injustice will be made to suffer a great torment." 19 And We have not sent before thee any of the sent ones but verily they ate food and walked about in the market places. And We have made some of you unto some others a temptation; will ye have patience? And thy Lord is ever a Beholder. 20

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
