Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
