NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the sinners. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
