The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night, when it envelops, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We shall pave his way to hardship, 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 It is indeed for Us to show the way, 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell); 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 But save him who fears 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
