And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
