BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 With spreading branches; 48 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 49 In each of the two Gardens are two flowing springs. 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 In both these is a pair of every fruit. 52 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 53 They will recline on Carpets, whose inner linings will be of rich brocade: the Fruit of the Gardens will be near (and easy of reach). 54 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 jinn and mankindîwhich of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 57 As though they were rubies and pearls. 58 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 61 And besides these two other gardens -- 62 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 63 dark green in color. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 69 In them are good and beautiful women - 70 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? - 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of thy Lord, majestic, splendid. 78
