The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
