Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
