Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 All the secrets in heavens and earth are recorded in the illustrious Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
