Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Is with them the Unseen, and they write it down! 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise; 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
