Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
