The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
