The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
