Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Pen (Al-Qalam) before The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O YOU ENWRAPPED in the cloak (of Prophethood), 1 Stand up in Prayer by night, all but a small part of it; 2 A half of it or a little less 3 Or add to it, and recite the Qur'an with measured recitation. 4 Indeed We shall soon ordain a heavy responsibility upon you. 5 Surely getting up at night is the best means of subduing the self and is more suitable for uprightness in speech. 6 whereas by day a long chain of doings is thy portion. 7 And remember the Name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with a complete devotion. 8 (He Alone is) the Lord of the east and the west, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). So take Him Alone as Wakil (Disposer of your affairs). 9 And bear patiently the vain things they utter, and gracefully forsake them. 10 Leave the prosperous disbelievers to Me and give them respite for a little while; 11 We have fetters (for them) and a blazing fire, 12 And a food that chokes, and a painful torment. 13 on the Day the earth and mountains shall shake and the mountains crumble into shifting sand dunes. 14 We have indeed sent a Noble Messenger towards you, a present witness over you the way We had sent a Noble Messenger towards Firaun. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger; so We seized him with a heavy Punishment. 16 How, then, if you refuse to acknowledge the truth, will you protect yourselves on that Day which shall turn the hair of children grey, 17 Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. 18 Verily, this is an admonition, therefore whosoever will, let him take a Path to His Lord! 19

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
