Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
