Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No, by the moon! 32 and the night when it retreats 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 From the guilty. 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
