The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Surely there hath come upon man a space of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning. 1 Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. 2 We showed him the right path whether he would be grateful or ungrateful. 3 [Now,] behold, for those who deny the truth, We have prepared chains, iron collars and a blazing fire, but 4 Verily, the Abrar (pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur. 5 a source [of bliss] whereof God's servants shall drink, seeing it flow in a flow abundant. 6 They keep their vows and fear a day the woe of which will spread far and wide; 7 And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him, 8 [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. 9 "Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it)." 10 Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; 11 and their reward for being patient will be a Garden and silk [clothing]. 12 Reclining therein on raised thrones, they will see there neither the excessive heat of the sun, nor the excessive bitter cold, (as in Paradise there is no sun and no moon). 13 since its [blissful] shades will come down low over them, and low will hang down its clusters of fruit, most easy to reach. 14 And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass], 15 (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure. 16 Therein they shall be served a cup flavoured with ginger, 17 therein a fountain whose name is called Salsabil. 18 ۞ And there shall go round unto them youths ever-young. When thou seest them thou wouldst deem them pearls unstrung. 19 And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. 20 Upon those [blest] will be garments of green silk and brocade; and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. And their Sustainer will them to drink of a drink most pure. 21 (And it will be said unto them): Lo! this is a reward for you. Your endeavour (upon earth) hath found acceptance. 22

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
