The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
