Al-Saaffaat 3 of 5
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
