The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
