Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 We informed him that the unbelievers would be utterly destroyed. 66 And there came the people of the city rejoicing 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, 73 and We turned those [sinful towns] upside down, and rained down upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement pre-ordained. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79
