Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom. 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them – as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 7 Surely, those who believe and do good works shall enter gardens of bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the creation of God. Show me what those whom you consider equal to God have created. In fact, the unjust ones are in plain error. 11
