Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 We glorify God." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
