Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 2 Behold, for those who believe there are (myriad) Signs in the heavens and the earth 3 and in your creation, and the crawling things He scatters abroad, there are signs for a people having sure faith, 4 And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense. 5 Those are the signs of God that We recite to thee in truth; in what manner of discourse then, after God and His signs, will they believe? 6 Woe to every guilty impostor 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 When he comes to know something of Our messages he makes fun of them: For them is shameful punishment. 9 Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment. 10 This (Quran) is a guidance. Those who reject the revelations of their Lord will suffer the most painful punishment. 11
