Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
