T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
