The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
