I am a faithful messenger unto you, 125 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 126 I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 127 Do you build on every height a monument? Vain is it that you do: 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. 130 Have fear of God and obey me. 131 Fear Him who has bestowed on you what you know, 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 gardens, and springs. 134 Surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. 136 this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, 137 "And we are not the ones to receive Pains and Penalties!" 138 Eventually they gave the lie to him and We destroyed them. Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 139 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
