Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
