Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
