Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
