Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
