The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
