Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 And share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember You much: 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
