The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
