And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
