A crowd of earlier generations 39 and a large group of those of later times. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 Will be in the scorching wind and boiling water, 42 and a shade of thick, pitch-black smoke, 43 neither cool, neither goodly; 44 and before that they lived at ease, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 They used to say: “What! Once we are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, shall we still be raised to a new life from the dead? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Proclaim, “Without doubt all the former and the latter.” 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, 51 Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom, 52 filling your bellies, with it 53 "And drink boiling water on top of it, 54 Drinkers even as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 This is their entertainment on the day of requital. 56 It is He who created you, then why do you not affirm the truth? 57 So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge? 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind? 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver? 64 If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: 65 (Saying): "We are indeed Mughramun (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! [See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 17, Page 219] 66 nay, we have been robbed!' 67 Have ye observed the water which ye drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds or is it We Who brought it down? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 Have you ever considered the fire which you kindle? 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
