Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
