Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
