The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Alif Lam Mim. 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a covering, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement. 7
