Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
