O you who believe, seek courage in fortitude and prayer, for God is with those who are patient and persevere. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, 155 Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. 156 On those will be prayers and mercy from their Lord, those are guided. 157 ۞ Safa and Marwah (names of two places in Mecca) are reminders of God. It is no sin for one who visits the Sacred House (in Mecca) to walk seven times between (Safa and Marwah.) Whoever willingly does a good deed in obedience to God, will find God All-knowing and Fully Appreciative. 158 They who conceal Our signs and the guidance We have sent them and have made clear in the Book, are condemned of God and are condemned by those who are worthy of condemning. 159 Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 They will remain in it forever; neither will the punishment be lightened for them, nor will they be given respite. 162 Your Allah is One Allah; there is no Allah save Him, the Beneficent, the Merciful. 163
