۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 on couches facing each other. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
