۞ When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)! 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 And indeed Eisa is a sign* of the Last Day, therefore do not ever doubt in the Last Day, and obey Me**; this is the Straight Path. (* The advent of Prophet Eisa to earth for the second time. ** By obeying the Noble Messenger.) 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs and said: “I have brought wisdom to you that I may make plain to you some of the things you differ about. So fear Allah and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore worship Him. That is the Straight Path' 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
