The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
