Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
